The 6th European Transplant & Dialysis Games – 8th – 15th August 2010 in Dublin, Ireland
These Games are open to all organ transplant athletes and those on dialysis. We plan to take a team of both. This is a great opportunity to experience a truly international sporting event.The Irish Kidney Association (IKA) will host the 6th European Transplant & Dialysis Games from the 8th – 15th of August 2010 in Dublin, Ireland.
The Athletes' Village will be in Dublin City University which is close to Dublin airport and top sports facilities will be used in Dublin; including the National Aquatic Centre, Roganstown Golf Course, Santry Stadium. 23 teams are expected from 23 European countries with approximately 400 athletes and 150 travelling supporters. The sports on offer will be; Athletics, Badminton, Cycling, Darts, Golf, Mini-Marathon, Petanque, Swimming, Table-Tennis, Tennis, Ten Pin Bowling and Volleyball.
The 7 night package which includes accomodation, all food, socials and transport in Dublin is estimated at no more than 650 Euro's. There may be a reduced cost for those not able to attend the full week.
