Norwich 2004
In July 2004, we visited Norwich for the first time, staging a fabulous 4 day sporting extravaganza at Sportspark at the University of East Anglia. From the Opening Ceremony on the Thursday evening to the Gala Dinner on the Sunday evening, we had a long weekend of sunshine, competition, friendship and fun.
We received a very warm welcome from the people of East Anglia and were heartened by the response of the many volunteers who came to help. The sporting facilities at Sportspark were exceptional and we hope to return there with the Games in the future.
No sooner had the last race been run and the final trophies awarded, but we were already planning the next British Games, to be held in Loughborough/Leicester from 25 -28 August 2005. This was a great Games, held slightly later due to the World Games in Canada in July 2005.
