Congratulations to the King’s Children’s Team who competed in the 2010 British Transplant Games, held in Bath. They all performed with great enthusiasm and between them won: 8 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Well done!
The Team was a credit to both the King’s Paediatric Liver Unit and to their donors, to whom we are all so grateful.
Accompanied by family supporters, a great time was had by all, meeting up with old friends and making new ones.
We are already looking forward to the next British Transplant Games which are to be held in
Belfast, Northern Ireland Thursday 4th – Monday 8th August, 2011
You don’t have to be an athlete to attend, you just need a willingness to take part, meet new people and have a lot of fun. It’s a fantastic social event too!
If you have had a liver transplant at King’s and would like to be part of the King’s Children’s Team, in Belfast, please contact:
